Clutch Pack
Clutch Pack
Feature:
Our multi-disc carbon fiber and stainless drag system uses a controlled thermal film to create one of the smoothest drag systems ever produced.
Carbon friction elements + controlled film interface + stainless plates in an aluminum frame
Function:
Generates smooth, progressive, pulse-free drag
Benefit:
Pulse-free start-up — no “pop” when a fish surges; it slips smoothly right away.
Smoother runs, fewer break-offs — steady drag protects light tippet/leader and small hooks.
Micro-step adjustability — tiny, predictable changes instead of big jumps when you touch the drag.
More consistent drag throughout the fight — less fade, less variation as heat/load changes.
Less stick-slip — eliminates that grab-release chatter that creates slack and shock.
Better control without palming — confidence in braking without fingers on the spool/reel rim.
Reduced line shock + better hook retention — keeps constant tension so hooks stay pinned.
Repeatable settings — “set it and trust it,” especially for clients, guides, or tournament use.
More usable drag range — more control in the low-to-mid range and strong top-end stopping power.
Smoother at any speed — consistent feel from slow head shakes to fast blistering runs.
What did we revise:
With the clutch pack already performing flawlessly, we kept this core element unchanged and focused improvements elsewhere.
What was the industry standard:
Cork vs Carbon-Fiber
Single plates vs Multiple plates
Dry Stack vs Film Coated
Wish Contributor :
Wes engineered the clutch pack from a deep understanding of conventional reel systems, where diameter, plate spacing, and pressure width define modulation. He studied how distance within the stack affects load transfer and how surface area shapes engagement. By controlling those variables, he eliminated drag spike and reduced startup inertia to nearly zero. The result is a system that engages smoothly and builds pressure with precision under load.
